But he doesn't weight train, he'd be more a gymnast build than muscle build.

I like getting armor perspective. At the same time even though Greg isn't jacked by any means he isn't built like a kid. Honestly I still envision him with a warriors physique. Regardless of who you are if you train that hard everyday you get big.

It makes him look like he is 12 again and has no body development tbh

I think the drawer try to make it look like the pictures is being taken from below and from that perspective the legs should look bigger and closer than the rest. But tge focus of the camera is not from below but right in front and it doesn't let us appreciate the perspective right.

It doesn't just look thicker, it really is. Look at his calves in the boots, they appear to be about four times the size of his forearms, or even his upper arms. While having larger leg muscles than am muscles is common it is usually not so exaggerated. His entire torso needs to be about twice as large to look even close to right. Look at his torso:leg height proportion, his legs alone are even in a squating stance like he is are significantly taller than his entire upper body including his head. So I agree, it is a nice picture, it looks very cool, but the proportions of his body are definitely a bit off.

Greg is a lanky boy and I used a lot of references for the armor that is pretty different from what I'm used to. However I think the proportion and general way it's put together are fairly accurate. I know beneath the armor he's very proportional because I spent a lot of time tweaking and fixing it only to cover him up with armor XD. Armor is not something I'm great with though which is why I relied heavily on references and took a few creative licenses.

dragon face mask, it's talked about in the book

the leg portion looks thicker due to the stance he's in plus the looser thigh cloth and the armor skirt, while the armor bands on his stomach and chest make him look slimmer up there. what threw me off though was the oni mask, seems out of character for greg, and I don't remember him wearing one in the books, but it has been awhile since I read them, so I could be wrong.

I didn’t even notice it really until I read your comment, but yea the legs are much thicker than the proportions of the torso and head. It’s kinda like the legs and pelvis are several feet closer to the perspective than the upper body somehow. I still really like the picture though it just adds a bit of cognitive dissonance.

For whatever reason I think his legs look way out of perspective with his upper body

Love it. Reminds me of the armors from the anime Ronin Warriors
