Astra - Monthly Update (December 2024)

Hello Patreons,

Last update of the year!!!!!!!!!!!! Lots of phat news to share so let's get started!

ASSETS

One of the final assets of Astral Ascension is the end screen. We wanted something that represents the space theme with the Astra colors. Simple but hopefully effective!

Outside of this, we've done some tweaks to a couple of CGs (bloom, contrast tweaking...etc) just to polish things up.

The last outstanding asset is the ending video. We have the song ready that was ready last update so just a matter of finding the right videographer!

FIXES

We've received a lot of different types of bugs with the official launch. It is quite the extensive list so we are just working through this as an ongoing activity. This was one of the advantages of Early Access on Steam which gives us a chance to polish things up as we head towards full release.

VOICE

Last Update

That is not a typo... the main character voice processing is ALL DONE! It was something like processing 5500+ lines but now we are just waiting to implement them in-game. The narrative designer is on holiday but when he is back in the New Year, he'll be going through that!

That means the fully main character voiced version will drop in January and while that is happening, I'll be working through the extra characters (which is another 1500+ lines). With conservative numbers, I would say we should be all good to go by February and then mid to late February to also get all the missing/redo lines recorded and implemented.

Between launching on Steam (which has to go through quite the approval process) and now the main cast fully voiced, we are finally very close to the finish line for Astral Ascension!

We have team members on holiday already / about to start, so this will be the last major update for 2024. I'd like to thank you all for your support this year even with the release delays to Astral Ascension. <3

Next time we'll discuss what are the upcoming plans for PixelFade going into 2025!
