Astra - Monthly Update (October 2024)

Hello Patrons,

First, I will just mention this idea of swapping to a free membership again (stop gibbing me your hard earned dollars >_>):

Regarding access to the full game on release if membership is changed to free: I will provide ample notice beforehand to make sure you don't miss out when the time comes!

Now let's get back to our regular scheduled update! We are going to be changing things around a bit since some of the categories are not particularly useful given Astra is in the final stages of development. What we will now have is Assets, Fixes, and Voice.

Assets - Will target anything related to upgrades (like UI changes), or new things like music tracks, artwork...etc. Basically anything that involves in-game content.

Fixes - This is a spot where we will mention any cruel information that is pertaining to bug fixes and mediational steps.

Voice - Since the last push for release in voice, I will provide a visual update on how that is coming along!

ASSETS

Another is the continuing UI update. We made it into a 3v3 grid instead of a 2x3 and also easier snap access to CG pages.

We are playing around with the music room, we are thinking like a scrolling box since that is what most people are used to?

We are also using the space in a more asymmetrical way and with more of a "zoomed" out feel since this would be played on laptop screens and monitors rather than a phone! We will look into a mobile UI in the future.

FIXES

We got a full laundry list of bugs that were actual issues! Something in the territory of 20+ with 7 of them being game breaking and 4 of them that messed up routes. Some of these was because the engine upgrade was not playing nice with some of the backend commands we had in the previous iteration. We really do appreciate all the bug reports you all provided as there's no way we could skim through all 400k+ word count in a timely way. O_O

VOICE

I dunno why Patreon made the image so big but there you go LOL. As you can see, voice is entirely waiting on PixelFade. The yellow bottleneck is all Dishu so go yell at him (me?) to work faster!

Why are you writing these updates when you could be processing voice!?! Hah! Seriously great to see there's a 'run home' kind of feel from here. Sorry a lot of this has fallen on you DIshu - but love ya work all the same.
