Astra - Vaela Expression Chart

Hello Patrons,

Happy August y'all!!!!!!!!!!! Hope everyone is having a fantastic day so far and lets look forward to a fantastic month. ;^)

We got a bunch of news to share so without further delay, let's get started! First Up on the table is that the Live2D rigging for Vaela just finished (this process takes the MOST time) and now we are working on her poses and expressions. Speaking of expression, we have just finished her initial draft, check it out here:

Vaela is youthful, energetic, a little naive/idealistic but good-hearted. We wanted that to come across with her variations of expressions. I think my favourite one is unimpressed, it fits so well for when MC or Kai is being a pervert and Vaela is having none of it. :P

As a comparison here is Luna's chart:

Luna has a more 'big-sister' vibe to her with a playful side so her expressions are a bit more subtle while not feeling muted.

So one of the things about our past games is that the Live2D expression charts were similar between characters; there was some difference but for cost reasons there was some overlap. The inflection of the voice acting gave it the variance and life. ACE Academy on the other hand because it was still images, we made each characters expression unique to their personality since it wasn't costly. Astra is basically taking the best of all the worlds by having character specific Live2D expressions and of course we will make sure the voice acting is nothing short of the exceptional quality you expect from us!
