Can we get the background in braille that way we don't get distracted at all

2019-09-23 02:17:22 +0000 UTCIt's an unnecessary illusion. It's kind of like the lens flare, only without any justification (and lens flare's justification has long since expired). Lens flare worked because people were accustomed to seeing lens flare in older filming technology, so its absence made filming feel less real; add in artificial lens flare. But there's no precedent for blur in a VN background. Blur is an artifact of how lenses work, and there's never been lenses involved in VNs (and we never notice the blur in non-focused elements of our real life vision).

I'm not really sure what is meant by 'illusion' either, and I don't care for the blur. I also think that since this is based in a real place (at least by nation), it doesn't need a blur.

2019-09-22 20:54:10 +0000 UTCI kinda prefer not having the blur. Seeing the image with the blur was kinda hurting my eyes. I mean, it does make illusion or whatever seem a bit more realistic but I'm not exactly a fan of it.

2019-09-22 17:09:55 +0000 UTCWe actually tried that and also a "dull tint" (where the character who is not speaking has their color slightly toned down). It looked a bit unnatural with Live2D since as a player if you looked at the character not speaking, they should come into focus especially when they have movement. That's actually one of the reasons we are exploring the BG as well since as the player if you look at the BG, it should be focusing as well instead of having a forced depth perception towards the characters!
