I think you may be right, but I also think it could be that she went on a date or a few dates with someone she had a crush on, and he turned out to be a total jerk or the like. Maybe then it would be the time for Kosei to comfort her and then they get a better relationship, maybe? Kosei and Mina are so funny when they argue. MC knows what's up too.
