November Update
Added 2020-11-22 14:37:07 +0000 UTCThis post has been ... overdue. Long overdue. Hilariously overdue.
The Problem
After some very productive days during the autumn holidays back in October, I decided on a whim to just redo the loot system and balancing of the TPF setup myself. I've been unhappy with it for a long time and this is the easiest way to get what I want. Right? It's not terribly difficult, as far as modding goes leveled lists are probably among the easiest things to tweak. Some thought also needs to go into the idea behind the changes obviously, achieving consistency is pretty challenging but overall it's nothing I can't figure out within a few days.
That's what I've been stuck on. If I had about five or six days on which I could properly focus and think and concentrate, I'd be done already, but I had two of those days two months ago and they're just not coming back. I tried to sit down and get this done many times with very little success. This has caused me to temporarily quit modding completely. (Yes, I'm terrible at dealing with frustration.)
So here we are. I genuinely don't know what to do and as this situation drags on, I'm putting myself increasingly under pressure. Not helping either. As it stands I'm considering to just go back to Container and Leveled List Fixes, tweak it a little, and call it a day.
About 4.0
Otherwise TPF 4.0 has been making great progress. Tons of incredible new mods have been released since the last update and I've integrated many of them. In addition, I created a bunch of tiny custom mods specifically for TPF and made other changes (several of them quite substantial) in order to nudge the setup closer to what I consider perfection.
Thankfully, with the release of Titan's TPF fork, Elysium, I don't have to worry about LOTD and other big quest mods anymore as people looking to play them with TPF now have the option to do so. This is reflected in 4.0 as I'm removing mods that were added primarily to offer a compromise for those people.
Despite the whole loot situation, I'd still love to get this update out there before the year's end. I'd prefer to publish it before Cyberpunk hits (whenever that happens) but Christmas would be a good fit as well (seeing as that will mark the fourth anniversary of TPF). Would have to finish it first though.
In other news
For my Fallout 4 setup, Welcome to Paradise, I've been keeping everything up-to-date and even added a few mods. The next update (1.4 I think?) is pretty much ready, I've just been putting off the release because I'm not really modding at the moment. I'll hopefully upload it within the week.
And finally I have been throwing together a quick modding guide for Mass Effect 1 (blame the N7 day reunion stream). It's my usual 1000% detail for a tiny amount of mods. I've been playing a little and really liking it. Don't need a remaster when you have mods. If anyone is interested in that, please let me know and I'll put it up on the website. Haven't done it yet because I'm not sure if there's any demand at all.

Okay, that's pretty much all I wanted to share. Hope you guys are doing well and sorry for being absent again. I'll try to catch up on the feedback and support channels asap.
Cheers!
