Thanks for the support, this is the WIP of one of the riders. It is very possible that we vary between horses with some armor and others with less, also our idea for the riders is that each one is casting a different spell.

I like the more magical take on the model, I'd probably mix up the weapons a little. Looking great. 1) Seeing that initial pose, a couple of those guys on foot would actually be really neat if you get the chance later on. 2) Could at least one of the horses be more subdued? Big mane and horned face armor are definitely good, just for me I'd like a more frail type to pair with the acolyte.
