Duke Nukem 3D mod - Quieter Octobrains
Added 2022-01-12 22:52:22 +0000 UTCEvery time I play Duke Nukem 3D I get annoyed with how crazy loud the Octobrain pain sound is compared to all other sounds in the game. Turns out, modding the game is extremely straightforward, so this mod ended up being super quick and easy to make. I'm not sure if it's something anyone else would want to use, but why not release it just in case.
Install instructions for Duke Nukem 3D Megaton Edition and the original DOS release:
- Extract the ZIP file contents to the game's root directory (the same directory that contains the duke3d.grp file).
Install instructions for eDuke3D and BuildGDX source ports:
- Copy the ZIP file to the "autoload" directory and ensure autoloading of mods is toggled on in the launcher.
