Just when I think I have a handle on all the little details of NieR lore, the floor drops out and I fall deeper into this crazy rabbit hole LMAO. I love getting to geek out about it every week! I'm gonna miss it. But not yet! 2 more episodes!

I learned through Jaron's comment that the art in the grimoire was really all in the grimoire and not just digital art - I'm blown away 2 more weeks! I don't want it all done in one go LOL POOPOOO

OH MAN I didn't realize each page was actually hand drawn in the book, that's absolutely amazing!! What an absolute treat! :') You have it right: in the game, A2 learns about the Type E models in the copied library and she tells 9S about them when they meet in the Tower. Quick side note, the prologue chapter of the "YoRHa Boys" novel reveals how Project YoRHa got started. Part of the anime intro and a very quick flashback in a prior episode reflect that point in time, but without context they're easy to miss. Lots of goodies in this episode! This one's a bit of a stretch, but the streetlamp scene in 9S's hacking space could be a reference to the second arc of Reincarnation. We saw something similar in that story. Also during that sequence, at the Abandoned Factory, Other-9S is standing right in the spot where 2B needs to stand in the game while you enter the cheat code to unlock Chapter Select. (I've read that this code was implemented so the devs could load the game at launch and manually populate the servers with messages for the first players that reach Ending E.) This tweet is from the person who made the puppets for the puppet show. They also made and illustrated the Grimoire Rubrum book in this episode.
