RE-ANIMATOR PROCESS PIX+HD DL
Added 2020-10-13 21:01:57 +0000 UTCHeya! I haven't been drawing as much lately cause I've been working on commissions as well as uni and searching jobs haha. but i saw my pal isaacs reanimator art and just needed to rewatch, so... this happened!
i totally didn't plan anything about this piece out, i just wanted to draw herbert in the middle, dan behind and megan in the back! then i thought, well, let's add some more eye-catching fun things... but it wasn't really planned, i just drew stuff out until i found a place to "put them" so to speak. i think the composition in the end still sort of works though!
i didn't mean to paint in the way i did either. i planned for this to be an ink piece! but, then last second as i had finished the lineart i thought i wanted to try my hand at gouache again, since it's been a while. buuut oh boy, i had run out a long while ago. i still had some red and black left though so i mixed gouache and acrylics(not a super good idea honestly) and tried doing what i could with them.
i hateeed the colors i chose first, i thought "hah! the solution is neon green, so coloring with a highlighter might be fun!" but it was very hard finding colors that worked against that... big miss steak. still, kept going and just tried stuff out. the advantage with thick colors of course is you can just paint 'em over if you make mistakes!
in the end i really ended up liking this, it was a fun experiment and i think the result looks okay! :') fun all around. i painted it while watching the movies too so, double fun there! (if you feel like watching these movies though and havent before- heed the content warnings:(!)
