Patreon Update

Hello All, hope you have all been good.

I have decided to pause billings on Patreon for the time being. I have a few reasons for doing so, and I will get to that in a bit.  The main reason is because I cannot guarantee that a video will come out in the next couple of months and I don't want to offer nothing in return for your generosity. I am NOT quitting, I simply have a new plan that I want to share with you all.

As of late, I have been thinking hard about what I want to make. The CIA series is not ending, but I do want to make other videos that are not directly in line with the series. So, what I have decided to do, is to take the next few months (i can't give a definitive date as to when they come out but I will notify you all on here) to make five videos. These videos will vary in length and will discuss various topics. Two of these videos will be full length History of the CIA entries (part 7 and 8 of the French Connection Series respectively, Vietnam and Marseille)

The three other videos will be different. I have a lot of interests outside of CIA history that I want to cover and right now, I feel constrained by my own creation. Allow me to show you all what else I have in store, I promise it will be worth it.

I think that this will be beneficial for both of us. For you all, you will only be paying when content is released. That way, you will know that when billings resume, there will be 5 new videos available totaling hopefully over three hours. This new format works for me because it allows me to detach myself from the constant feeling of underdelivering. Lately, since this Patreon has started, I have felt an additional time crunch of having to get a video out to you all once a month. It gives me little time to do large scale research and to create a fulsome narrative that flows between parts. My first three videos were all originally conceived as one long script, which is why I believe they flow so well. This time off will allow me to tell the whole French Connection story in one big interlaced story, that will hopefully be more meaningful and revealing.

On this platform, you will receive all five videos at once when they are ready, and you can choose to binge them or watch them at your convenience. This brings me to another reason why I want to take this time to make a batch of videos - I believe my channel is suffering on the algorithm due to infrequent uploads.  I will be uploading those five videos all one week apart, to hopefully build some good traction and expand my audience beyond simply the CIA stuff.

So, let me give you all a sneak peak of my plans that are in the works for the next months and beyond:

Videos that I will 100% be making:

History of the CIA Part 7: Prelude to Vietnam

History of the CIA Part 8: Marseille and the French Connection

History of the CIA Part 9: Cuba and the American Supermob

Greek Civil War video with some Albania stuff

The History of the CIA Part 1 REDUX (full one hour version of my first video with fixed audio and additional information about the British role in the creation of the OSS and CIA)

Ideas in the works that could become videos:

The Origins of modern Zionism

Jean Baudrillard's The Gulf War Did Not Take Place and the Hyperreality of Modern Warfare

Operation Paperclip and Gravity's Rainbow

The Ratlines, The Gehlen Network, and Otto Skorzeny

A biography of John J McCloy and the origins of the World Bank

What are Neoconservatism and Neoliberalism and why do they matter?

Skull and Bones and the Bush Family

Joe Kennedy and the rise of Camelot.

One last thing. Please let me know which of these topics interests you the most. As always your feedback is incredibly valuable.

Thank you as always for believing in my work. Five videos coming up

Welcome! I’ll definitely keep talking about the early CIA. You’re right, The first CIA officers mostly came from North Eastern American elite families, often with either generation wealth or longstanding connections to the establishment. I haven’t ever heard of a formal rule barring any non-elite born person from attaining the upper ranks, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it was an unspoken rule. Given the origins of the CIA in the OSS, which was often nicknamed the “Oh So Social” club, because of its cocktail party atmosphere, it’s unsurprising. My first War Conspiracy video on here, does focus on some OSS agents from that upper crust, and in my second War Conspiracy video, I dedicate a major section to the Rockefellers. Maybe you’d find that interesting. Also, if you’re interested in looking more into this type of stuff, you should look into CV Starr. I didn’t have the space to include him in my first War Conspiracy video, but he served with the OSS in China. He also was the founder of the insurance firm which would become AIG, which is to this day the largest insurance company in the world.

I’d like to learn more about more of the spooks in early CIA history. My impression was that these are white collar criminal elites. I’d like to get a broader picture of the personas and diversity if there was any. I had a friend who worked for the cia as an analyst and he told me that in order to be an agent officer you needed to come from generational wealth or demonstrate that your heritage dates back to the founding of USA. I haven’t been able to verify this online so I’d love your perspective

I’d imagine you’ve run across Antony Sutton’s work on Wall Street and the Nazis, Wall Street and the Bolsheviks? He also has a book about skull and bones which would be good source for your future doc on skull and bones. Btw I don’t mind contributing to you even if the work is stagnant at times. Your work is really worth it even if we go a month or two without ‘new’ stuff…I’m excited to see what’s in store…
