Out Now: Blue Flag App

I have released a new app to handle the AI when they are being lapped and thus under Blue Flag Conditions!

This app Identifies when AI drivers are being lapped. It then manages them so the car overtaking them can be let through. A number of you guys have asked me to look into Blue flag conditions so I have developed this with further improvements to come in future versions!

Hi, I tested extensively over the weekend and can rule out the following: 1. I deactivated or even moved all Phyton and lua apps except BlueFlag, it made no difference. 2. It affects all vehicles, regardless of whether they are F1 hybrids with DRS or normal mods or Kunos vehicles. 3. It concerns e.g. In a 20-car race there are usually 2 drivers in the top 6. 4. The error only occurs from lap 2 onwards and is corrected again in this round, but there is usually no effect when lapping. 5. You can fix the problem immediately if you have activated RARE and the alternative Strength activated. I don't know what that means (perhaps because that means all vehicles go to full throttle on the straights?). However, I prefer to drive without RARE because I have problems with it on some vehicles. Hi Georgios, I have added logging to the Lua Debug App, I would recommend trying a test session with the app open to see if it gives u any extra info. Thanks

Need some help... I've tried many times but it doesn't work for me. The AI won't slow down at all

Unfortunately the app no longer works as usual as of today; After the second lap, some drivers let off the throttle, always exactly to the parameter set in Nuzzis_Blue_Flag_App. The problem only occurs with the app, when it is deactivated everything works as usual. I downloaded and reinstalled it several times, nothing changed. Is there a known solution for this? :)

Thanks, yes the logs work. To test it, I took the liberty of setting localaiBlueFlagThrottleLimit = 0.1 in the LUA file to notice it clearly and it worked. :) I just have the feeling that sometimes things don't go quite well with "RARE".

Moving to the side seems to be quite hard to code, Schmawlik had it in RARE (and the code is still there) but has turned it off as AI drove off the track and into the barriers. Tried fixing it a bit but I'm not an expert so no good result

Hi, you can test the blue flag app works by opening the Lua Debug app in game, when a car is being lapped there will be logging providing info. You can also lap an AI driver then go into the replay with the pedals app open and it will show the AI gas pedal limited to 75% while being lapped. Track physics are enabled by using any of the ui enable buttons from my apps then doing a full session restart from content manager to apply the effect. It works on a track by track basis so will need to be done once on each track. Thanks πŸ‘πŸΌ

Hi, first of all thank you for the great work. These are simple things that are a must have in a racing game. :) One question: I think the Blue Flag app works for me (I tested it in Monaco). However, the AI ​​doesn't take off the accelerator, but drives on the edge, but sometimes lapping can take 2 laps. I'm not entirely sure how it works yet. How do I know whether track physics is activated? I only have a button but no status about it. It's the same with the Mechanical Failures app. Unfortunately nothing happens here. Is there a tutorial on how to use it correctly? I'm using the CSP v0.2.1 preview2. This is the only one from 0.2.x upwards that doesn't send retired vehicles back on the track. Thank you. :)

Yeah, the app Identifies when a car is a lap down on another car and in also close-proximity with it. (So when they should be blue flagged.) Then whilst under blue flag conditions it has its max gas pedal set to 75% making it slower and thus easy for the car behind to pass. Once the car behind has cleared it, the gas pedal limit is removed. I am looking into making them pull to a side as well, but before adding I want to make sure that it doesn't cause AI to crash into each other and the player!

That’s absolutely stunning! Can you explain what the influence is when a car comes to lap another? I suppose it keeps its line but slows down significantly? (Not able to try it now so therefore my question :) ) cheers
