There is no standard on how the strings should be arranged on a lyre. It's common to see both ways. Some people prefer the low notes on the left, especially when they have a piano or guitar background because that's how the strings are oriented on these instruments. People with a harp background prefer the low notes on the right. A lot of professional lyres are also oriented likewise. Either way, you still play with your right hand as the dominant hand. Although the image in my videos may be flipped, the notes are just the same.

I just received my lyre from the manufacturer, Nesoria. I'm not a musician but I sense something's wrong. When I lay the instrument flat on the table the lower notes are on the right and the higher ones are on the left. I'm a right-handed person. Is this not an instrument for a left-handed person? It is the opposite way in which Samantha's lyre is pictured when she plays it.
