Meet Olwen, my new longbow
Added 2023-09-19 21:13:34 +0000 UTCI finally managed to get out and shoot my new longbow, so I wanted to share the moment with you. Despite there being so much space here, I've really struggled to find somewhere decent to shoot, and now thanks to my son Stuart he's introduced me to a farmer who also enjoys shooting (guns, not longbow) and is happy for me to go along any time.
This being only the fourth time I've managed to get out this year, I'm well out of practice, but you'll see it doesn't take too much to get back in to the swing of it.

2023-09-22 13:21:48 +0000 UTCI've always left my arrows long so that when I snap a head off I can easily re-head it, so it often looks as though I'm not drawing the full arrow. Just keep shooting and enjoy the draw & perhaps we can have a catch up over Zoom sometime. Best, Kevin

2023-09-20 16:07:07 +0000 UTCHi Marco, yes, now we've found this spot, we're hoping to head out later today to shoot a video and fingers crossed if we have time before our trip on the 29th, I'm hoping to do something on incendiaries but that's a 2 hr drive out to get to the quarry site that's safe for shooting fire and have allowed us permission. 👍🏻
