I think part of the reason people were mocking the Silver Sky is because it was a blatant copy of the strat from a legacy guitar company. The way I see it, we would mock Gibson for doing something similar. And we would probably mock Fender for making a Les Paul copy. I don't doubt the quality of the instrument and I'm sure it sounds different than a strat, but it's a little silly to see one of the more innovative legacy builders out there release a signature model that took years and years of designing according to the artist and have it turn out looking like it came from another incredibly well-known company, have it be a production model, and have just the headstock look different. I like the aesthetic of the guitar, but it's like the episodes in HIMYM when Ted realizes the building he's working on for his company is shaped just like a penis and the head architect is in denial but when the investor shows up to see the design he immediately goes "That's a penis!"

Kevin...then Jimmy Page added it to his brown Tele for the ARMS tour and The Firm. I'd love to have one on my Strat...

A cool - but not controversial - guitar that you might want to talk about in another video is Clarence White's stringbender Telecaster that he used with The Byrds.
