Help Us With A Possible New Format
Added 2018-11-13 12:53:11 +0000 UTCSo yeah, we love WoW and that's what our channel is about and will always be about. but we also love D&D. we've just started a whole new campaign from scratch; we are only three games in and having a blast and we were thinking... there must be some videos we can do about this.
So here's the thing. We WOULDN'T want it to be like a Critical Role "Watch us play" type deal. Mostly because CR already exists and is awesome and frankly no one can do it as well as they do it. We really like concise animated re-tellings of D&D adventures like Puffin Forest, and thought maybe an animated episode telling the story of our campaign, one episode of around 10-15 minutes for each of our campaign sessions.
This gives us some decisions to make. Like art style, general tone and narration. The most obvious idea would probably be to have Tali's bard Penrin telling narrating each episode and telling the story from his point of view. This would give the episodes a proper "T&E" feel and also allow some 4th wall breaking where he talks about certain D&D mechanics like rolls and checks and things.
What do you guys think? Is there anyone that does anything similar? Is there a better way of telling the story? would it be any good? We are at the very early stages of workshopping this at the moment so would love to hear any thoughts you guys have :)
