Maybe my most "North Webster" memory is when, a few summers after high school, my friend's mom was dating the owner of Pilcher's so a bunch of us went up on the roof for the Mermaid Festival fireworks. There was briefly a mention of playing capture the flag or some other similar game inside the darkened castle store afterwards and I remain disappointed that didn't happen. Also my uncle Joe and I once saw some clothing store of some kind having their grand opening in October and spent the rest of our trip to play golf in Syracuse mocking the owner for making the decision to open at the beginning of the long slow season. It didn't make it to spring.
