Now that's a quick turnaround. Thank you.

Hugh O'Brien

Ps you missed the point of this post which was that you can ask questions directly in the activity feed, not just as comments to my posts! :)

Interesting way of visualizing light speed - Also, the sun is HUGE!

Trying out photoshop, not sure how I like it. I don't screen capture - I wrote a script to export the photoshop history.

I have just the video for you... Ever hear of a little channel called MinuteEarth? <a href="https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6jUpX7J7ySo" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6jUpX7J7ySo</a>

Hello Henry, The sun is about the same size as the moon when we look at it from here, if the sun was hollow and a photon would emit from one side, and travel in strait line through the center...(and if we could see it) then it would require something like 4 seconds to reach the other side ! This make it easy to follow with the naked eye...seems almost slow !

Michel Payette

Why is the moon always aligned with earth? Was it always this way or would it seem to spin?

Hugh O'Brien

Oh dear! I forgot to put a smiley :-)

Ira Abramov

Hey Henry, I noticed you abandoned your previous camera/light box setup in your latest video(looks better IMO). How are you recording your tablet screen? What drawing app are you using?

Eduardo

MinutePhysics and MinuteEarth are my full time job, and yes, I have an MS in Theoretical Physics from the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics

His autobiographies are hilarious, but from an explaining science perspective, QED: The Strange Theory of Light and Matter (book) and The Messenger Lectures (<a href="http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/research/toys/project-tuva.aspx)" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/research/toys/project-tuva.aspx)</a>

While my style is certainly influenced by xkcd, I don't think I copy characters per se (other than the fact that generic stick figures tend to look alike). My main characters are Sherlock Holmes, sheep, and cats, and I believe none of those are characters in xkcd, where the main identifiable characters are black hat, white hat, beret guy, etc (<a href="http://www.explainxkcd.com/wiki/index.php/Characters)" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://www.explainxkcd.com/wiki/index.php/Characters)</a>

Henry Reich

Yes! I will answer in a new post since I can't put images here.

Henry Reich

Have you no shame copying your characters from Randall Munroe? Or are you Randall's nom-de-plume?

Ira Abramov

What's your favorite Feynman youtube video or book?

Michael Tardibuono

Do you just have a BS in Physics or do you have a higher degree as well? Do you have a job besides Minute Physics/Earth?

Paul Friz

Can you draw a robot? How many robots can you draw? Do you think maybe you are a robot made out of meat?

Vi Hart

Undergrad at Grinnell College and grad school at the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics

Henry Reich

Where did you study physics?
