Helllllo Rivans.

Today airs the finale of PokéSins Season 1 and I thought I'd explain how things are gonna work for Season 2. You may recall that the first 60 episodes of Season 1 are free and will remain so. This is for two big reasons.

1. They were already free, so it wouldn't feel right to lock some of them away now.

2. This way I can attract new viewers; they watch the 60+ free episodes and (hopefully) decide that it's worth $5 a month to see the rest.

Given the second reason, I've been thinking about how to handle Season 2.

I would like to have the first 6 episodes of Season 2 be completely free. As Season 2 is just 36 episodes, that's a full 1/6th of the season that people can watch to get a feel for the new season and to (hopefully) make them want to pledge to see the rest. After that point I'll begin the alternating between paid and free.

The reason it's 6 free episodes at the start is because the season is an even number of episodes. Like with Season 1, I wanted the finale of the season to be free. Just feels like that's the right thing.

This brings me to the issue. If I'm doing the S1 Finale free, the S1 Wrap-up free and then 6 episodes of S2 free, what can I give you guys to keep you on the $5 tier until we reach the alternating $5 episodes?

Early access.

What I intend to do is give you guys over a week's early access to the new episodes. For example: The S1 Wrap-up is released...a day or two later the first episode of S2 is released, but password protected until its planned release date. That way you guys are a week ahead of everyone else.

I plan to announce this publicly in my State of the Channel 2019 in a couple of weeks, but I wanted to tell you all about it now, just in case you have any questions and so it isn't out of the blue.
