There's a fairly complex history to it actually. It was supposed to air on the actual Girl's Day in Japan, but this was messed up by the 4 month hiatus caused by the Porygon episode. Eventually they shoved it in with the Children's Day episode (also intended to air on the day it depicts) between Bulbasaur's Mysterious Garden and The Case of the K-9 Caper. The dub got the episodes in their intended order, but still chose to postpone Princess vs. Princess either due to the large amount of paint edits or so as not to have the Todd Snap episodes spread into Season 2, or maybe both. Based on the rerubs through Pocket Monsters Encore, Princess vs. Princess goes between A Chansey Operation and Holy Matrimony, while The Purr-fect Hero goes between The Breeding Center Secret and Riddle Me This.
