General Update #12

We've another accompanying image for this update.

There's been a fair amount of new designs lately; including more of the Maid variety. Currently there are five maid enemies but I'm wondering if that's going to be enough to make the area they inhabit feel complete. There will of course be some kind of final Maid boss in their area. Considering that every enemy will have at least three animations then I believe it's safe to say that the Servant Quarter that the Maids inhabit will have a total of, at least, eighteen H animations. This is including the planned boss-type Maid. There are of course plans for group animations which will further increase that count.

This is a nice baseline for what can be expected from a zone of the castle I think. There may also be a variety of neutral enemies that don't belong to any specific archetype present in these areas as well.

These Maid enemies are of the smallest variety in the game, that being the same size as the Player. Despite that I decided to add visible mouths. At first I wasn't sure if I liked it or not, but I do think it adds a little more to them than without. The only downside is that the mouth being just two pixels means that the chance for varied expressions is extremely low if not outright impossible.


On the coding side of things there's not been as much done due to focusing on designs and animations, but I did squash a few more bugs that had been around for a while, so progress in that avenue continues regardless.

I'll be posting the Zombie Girl's latest animation today as well.
