General Update #5

It's been a pretty strange and busy last two months for me. A lot of outside influences slowing down progress and generally being a pain, but work as continued as much as it can regardless.

The entire Entrance Hall and Servant Quarters zones are done. The former being the first place you'll see leading up to a central hub, and the latter being the first main area you'll go to through the hub. In total there are currently 26 of varying sizes, some of the rooms are very large.

With that all done there's just a few bug-fixed and corrections to the world boundary for cameras to be done, then we can get back to finishing off some of the code.

As it stands the current path before a demo is a little something like this.

Finish cleaning up the world boundaries.

Finish up the coding that handles UI, which for the first demo will just be a healthbar.

Implement the H-scenes. Many H-scenes are actually already done, they were finished quite early, all that remains is to actually put them into the game.

I'll probably make a few more enemies for the demo just for variety, but in general I'm happy with the progress so far. Though keep in mind, as has been these last two months, that things outside of my control my occur that will slow progress. At the end of the day, as much as I'd like it to be more, this is a passion project on the side.


As a side note, the following two zones after the Servant Quarters is planned to be an underground cave leading to a tomb full of Egyptian themed enemies and then a separate zone being a type of garden or courtyard, undecided as of yet what exactly is going to be in it enemy-wise.
