2025-05-27 20:49:18 +0000 UTCYea, its definitely a phenomenon across the Western world - or more broadly capitalist - world, and I think for the same basic reasons. The internet rabbit holes EXACERBATE these problems, but are not the root CAUSE of them (as liberals often argue). The root cause is the failure of the underlying economic system.
