Here is a big episode we did on the topic that might be a good starting place: https://revolutionaryleftradio.libsyn.com/south-african-apartheid-an-introduction

Hey fellow comrades, can someone point me to a couple books about South African Apartheid. Thank you for all recommendations! I need to not be ill informed about this.

Very weighty episode. Although I don't have an artistic bone in my body (probably not a materialist stance haha), I enjoyed hearing the talk about what Socialist Realism looks like practically. I think the practical examples is really important in this kind of discussion on both the art and MCU focused sections. This seems doubly true to me with the stereotype of Maoists being very heady and theoretical to the detriment of including how to put what they are talking about into practice. ETA: And yeah, I would love if that China discussion could get set up. Beyond the strict details of the issue itself, I think this issue touches a lot of broader positions and ways of evaluating ideological lines in Marxism.
