This approach simplifies creating harmonic layers by transforming single keystrokes into complex, inspiring sounds. It’s perfect for building ideas quickly, especially when you’re stuck or need a spark of inspiration.

Steps to Create Harmonies and Chord Progressions:

Start with a Note Grid:
- Route your keyboard input through the Note Grid.
- Pass through notes directly or duplicate layers for added octaves.
Stack Notes:
- Add harmonic intervals (e.g., perfect fifths with +7 semitones, fourths with +5).
- Include a pedal tone (static note) for a foundational harmonic layer.
Expand the Harmony:
- Introduce additional notes, like octaves of the fifth or seventh.
- Create cinematic or EDM-inspired chords with simple stacking techniques.
Layer Instrument Tracks:
- Assign bass notes to one layer with an arpeggiator for rhythm.
- Add arpeggios or melodic layers on top with unison, filters, and effects.
Enhance Dynamics:
- Add reverb, delay, and modulation for depth and atmosphere.
- Use tools like sidechaining to create rhythmic grooves.
Record and Refine:
- Capture the output of your Note Grid and refine the generated MIDI clips.
- Adjust the progression or add manual tweaks to perfect the composition.

Additional Tips:

Experiment with Step Modulators to open filters or adjust modulation dynamically.
Use FX layers like unison, stereo spread, and EQ to sculpt sounds.
Apply rhythmic effects like random LFOs for dynamic textures.
Build your arrangement progressively with drums, claps, and hi-hats for a polished track.
