Why is randomness so satisfying?

Today, I’m showing you a random noise generator I created in Bitwig’s Grid. It generates unique sounds every time you press a key, making it great for designing percussion, atmospheric effects, or creating sample libraries. You can download the patch, but here’s how it works and how you can build your own.

This will be so nice for making layers for percussion, use with field recordings/transient samples. Hot stuff. Thanks!

the rand osc not only produces a fundamental but also overtones. too make it harmonic you need to order the overtones and sync it to the sub. a pitch quantizer before the pitch input jack could help BUT it also changes the sound drastically. and i wanted to have some dissonant sounds there.

Another thought: is there a way to auto adjust the sub tuning to match the sound? Like your auto leveler, is there a way with comparators to evaluate tuning? Or beating? Then offset the sub pitch. Is there a mathematical way to determine dissonance between two sounds? Then you could control the amount between the two sounds to min/max to taste.
