In this video, I walk you through a couple of web-based audio visualizer tools I’ve been developing, available for free online. I demonstrate how these can be used as metering tools on a second screen. I also explain how to connect your audio using a loopback device and offer some insights into customizing these tools via the GitHub repositories.
Bought a $120 touchscreen from Amazon to use as a metering screen.
Exploring web applications for metering: vectorscope and spectrum visualizers.
Tools available for free at vectorscope.polarity.me and spectrum.polarity.me
No heavy libraries involved, just vanilla JavaScript.
Both web apps accept audio input via loopback or virtual audio devices.
Explained vectorscope features: mono/stereo, mid-side signal visualization.
Spectrogram tool in development, available soon with customizable features.
GitHub links provided for documentation and customization.
