In this video, I introduce PFAM, my Moog DFAM replica inside Bitwig Studio. It’s designed to function as a percussion synthesizer, useful for creating kick and snare drums, and here's an overview of its features and modifications.
PFAM is my Bitwig replica of the Moog DFAM, ideal for percussion sounds like kick and snare drums.
I’ve included three eight-step sequences for gates, velocity, pitch, and modulation.
There are two main oscillators using wave table oscillators, allowing for sine, saw, and pulse waveforms.
I added a pitch and mod sequencer, which the original DFAM doesn’t have.
The device features a mixer, envelopes for pitch and amplifier, and filter options.
You can adjust VCO decay, waveform tuning, and FM modulation.
It includes noise output and the ability to modulate filter frequency.
The grid in Bitwig acts as a flexible patch bay, offering extensive routing options.
I’ve made the PFAM preset available for free and welcome any feedback or suggestions for improvements.
