yea the app is very alpha/beta. it helped me at least with this one problem. maybe it's more useful in a year.

Polarity

I've become a bit disappointed in this app after few weeks using it. I guess it's good because it collects a lot of information about the plugins that are installed in your system. But then it confronts you with more problems than you started with. I may just go back to ignoring the plugins that I've forgotten about. I don't know. Sigh!

Since there’s no answer, i’ll chime in (hi!).. Convolution is usually going to give you a better result for ambience or vibey reverbs. I personally wouldn’t choose a plate for intimate or tight spacializing, as they tend to have a longer tail and the tone can be a bit brash. Choose a real room sample IR in any convolution reverb. Personally I keep two different room ambience reverbs on busses, for subtly beefing up different sounds. Indispensable. If you need longer reverbs there are loads of hall and church reverbs. Real rooms are going to sound better generally, in productions where you’re not going for synthetic, heavy or loud pop sounds. I love Fog Convolver, it comes with great presets and it’s cheap.

Cyber Sensei, what is the best affordable reverb for tight intimate mixes? Is it Valhalla plate, or will the plate convolution reverb in bitwig be enough ?
