2020-02-29 18:33:10 +0000 UTCHi Breht and Alyson- y’all are my favorite podcast and I have listened to every episode of both since inception (although I’m afraid I couldn’t bear the Proles-as-guests- one because they were just too annoying with the incessant inside joke laughter allll the time.) Anyway- just like the British SWP comrade above, I was introduced to communism by a Trotskyist back in my freshman year of college (1991). It’s hard to not have a soft spot and be sympathetic to so much of what LD has written. I know you had one episode on Trotsky but it was largely unintelligible because the recording was really shite and crackly and I couldn’t hear what your guest from Colorado said - and I tried to listen to it four times and at half speed (no joke) -but I think we need at least one more non-hater Trotsky episode. Could you maybe consider doing a Red Menace episode on “the revolution betrayed”? Second request, having worked in the Philippines with the legal representatives of the New People’s Army and learning a lot about the protracted peoples’ war there/Joma Sison etc, esp.as a Maoist, would you consider doing an episode on the Philippines and the NPA? If you wanted a guest speaker or two, I know of a couple bad asses in Quezon City to put y’all in touch with. Thank you both for all of your work. I cannot tell you how much I learn each time I listen to both RM and Rev Left and much I appreciate how humble and sincere (like Malcolm!) and incredibly knowledgeable you both are. Y’all rule!

If you are, do you have plans to invite him onto one of the shows/collab with him? If not, you might find him well worth looking into. He's also a Marxist-Leninist-Maoist with a serious focus on decolonisation, anti-revisionism and practically applying communist thought through mass work and party organising.
