ANNOUNCEMENT: Book Club Change & Experimenting w/ New Ideas

A week or so ago I sent out an email to all of you regarding the book club. I was concerned with lower engagement and was wondering if folks wanted me to try something else.

I received over two dozen replies and taken all together one thing is very clear: although people like the idea of the book club, many people just dont have the time to read. Moreover, with Red Menace, people feel like we are addressing a sort of book club niche'.

So given that feedback, I want to try to experiment with some other options at the Book Club tier. I mentioned replacing the Book Club with an array of other options like reading articles, deconstructing a film, analyzing a song, doing a Call-In episode, and covering a recent news event. To various degree, many respondents liked this general idea and were encouraging of me trying to do it.

Moreover, not having to read a book on top of all the stuff I already have to read for RLR and Red Menace would mean I could keep a far more consistent monthly schedule (something that I haven't been able to do with the Book Club).

THEREFORE, I am going to try to do monthly episodes (STARTING THIS MONTH) over the next few months experimenting with a mixture of these other ideas. That will allow all of you to get a feel for what could replace the Book Club, and after a few months, we will revisit this question and people can decide if they want me to keep going with these new ideas, or if they want me to return to the Book Club.

In the next week or two Ill release my first Book Club Tier episode experimenting with these new ideas and we can go from there!
