If we'd just started & closed with the four highest paid players (SC, JB, DG, JK) + a center (QP), you'd have a very strong starting line up (+11pts per 36. Sample size: 44mins, 5 games). If you want to go small, replace the center with next best guy. (SC, JB, DG, JK, BP is +14pts per 36. Sample size: 65mins, 11 games). Start/close with your best players. Play your best players the most minutes. If you can't figure out who is best, let the market tell you and just assume it is your highest paid guys. This isn't necessarily the BEST approach to coaching. But it is the most obvious. If I'm the FO, I'm judging the coaching by asking, did the coach's lineups perform better than if he had just played the best players I gave him? I don't think that's an unfair test.
