Occasionally a contrarian pushes back and claims that the entire league is running out 3- and 4-guard line-ups. Who is right? Both are. However, the contrarian push-back does not address the fundamental complaint some Dubs' fans are making. The Dubs have a slew of small guards--most are short, some are both short and slight. Other teams have a stable of different-sized guards. Moses Moody is the Dubs' tallest guard, at 6'4.5". OKC's shortest guard is 6-4, and their tallest is 6'6. The Lakers' shortest is 6-2, but their two tallest are 6-5 (Reeves) and 6-8 (Doncic). The Spurs have a 5-11 guard, then a 6-3 guard (Fox), then three 6-5 and one 6-6 guard--the 6'6 guard is a point guard. And so on. So when the Dubs run out 4 guards under 6'4.5", and other teams run out 4 guards 6'5" and over--you can see the source of some fans frustration. Complainers are complaining that the roster's bounty of SMALL guards means the Dubs do not have the option of "going small" with 4 guards, because even if the other team also puts 4 guards on the floor, the other teams guards are likely to be as fast or faster (owing to age) as well as taller. Thus, other teams gain advantage every time the Dubs go small. . . . And this isn't even factoring in the Dubs lack of tall big men compared to other teams, nor the Dubs lack of athleticism compared to the average NBA team. So, both are right. But the complainers still have a point.

If he lets his legs follow thru and go forward he hits it but if the feet are to wide or he backpedals and doesnt have enough energy to fling the feet forwad than he nearly always misses. Alch says that Podz doesnt have touch but all his college scoring was floaters and floaters are the most touch shot in my book. On the move but sonetimes also from a standstill his feet do like a replace when after a shot the back foot land where the front food started and the front food goes to the side. So my diagnosy is Podz uses too many kind of footworks and doesnt think about footwork enough. He should know that shooting with legs wide or shooting backpedaling shots is hard for him and should minimise that or find a way to unitize his footwork.

Kerr groupies may not see it but notice he always give BP a runway particularly by parking JK whenever BP is struggling. BP will make an awesome 6th Man and mediocre starter. On the other hand, JK has great potential at either on a Team that value his skills. But what is disturbing is Kerr plays 3 and 4 guard line up forcing the 3 ball particularly when Steph on the court and rejects the idea of downhil play unless Steph or GPII does it. No fit yet Jimmy joins and immediately Jimmy is allowed to go downhill but JK is not. Fastforward to this season with the veta out, he goes big and downhill (sits JK when he likely would beast out) and they effectively beat Thunder, Sixers,, Cavs and Bulls if Kerr stuck with the big lineups. But everyone wants JK gone instead of Kerr. What happens next year if Dubs dont win Chip this year. Kerr gone - so if you get rid of JK who will fill that role?

If they can string together a solid record into the all star break while staying healthy, then maybe find some weak injury breaks for each of the big three before the playoffs…long way to go but this stupid expendables plan might work lol.

Melton is made of glass, Seth is old, Will is very young (which means we can't be sure he'll hold up in his first playoff run if it gets that far), and Moody is inconsistent minute to minute. I'm not sure Podz is the one people should be trying to trade, if coach Kerr can just keep him at the 2.

Sure, couple times a month he comes out to flex on a big European when gets ISO'd on the block - but the way were closing out being contagious as Alch highlighted here -- Draymond's unwillingness to guard "non-shooters" on the perimeter is also contagious. Draymond giving up in 3rd quarters when Steph is out or Dubs are down double digits is contagious. He is no longer the heart of the defense. He is a mythology, a caricature of what he once was. All the best upgrades on the trade market include his name.

A lot of dudes do better in a new organization/change of scenery. 49ers do this all the time with QBs, they get dudes who werent very good and then they look great for us. Not everyone plays like the warriors so they might see him fitting into their style better and want to take the chance on him for a year.

His wacky-wavy-inflatable-arm-flailing-tube-man style is effective and it seems like he is a fiend for the film in addition to a sponge for the vets. It’s easy to forget because his lack of strength just makes him look so easy to push around, but he has fire in his belly and will change the energy of a whole arena on his own. Elite defense usually follows elite competitive spirit. Crucially, holding water on defense without Dray is the first domino we need to fall to actually have a chance in the postseason, and I think we have a lot to build, but I’m less worried about the foundation now.

2025-12-08 19:25:20 +0000 UTCAt this point I'm just waiting for Jan 15, that's THE date. Jimmy, Steph, Dray can still bring it when it matters most. Kerr still elite af. 2nd rounders and g leaguers are contributing to winning and playing hard, can't ask for much more. It's the middle of this roster that hasn't held up their end of the bargain. They have a lot of salary cap hemmed up on dudes and prospects that have given them nothing. I'm not going to name names, but it's time to consolidate some of this fluff for real playable guys, preferably lengthy wings who play winning basketball. They don't even have to be studs, just guys who play hard and have winning habits. If that happens, they might be able to make something happen, who knows....anything is possible with Kerr and Steph. And i'll just say Podz has been lowkey pretty damn good the last few weeks...some ups and downs sure, but he's now around 40% from 3 and his efficiency is going up. He's so much better in a slightly lesser role. Pat and Melton should help him a lot. It's good to see a player respond well after getting benched instead of his agent tweeting or stuff leaking to the media.

Podz finding his shot will boost the trade value for sure. Looking forward to what comes in the New Year.

Collins is someone the Bulls would be wanting to let go and someone who would be willing to be the backup role, as opposed to Gafford who might want to start. We could also let TJD or Gui go to free up space for Pat Spencer and/or LJ Cryer?
