lol they just trying not to go out of business at this point. Feel bad for all the employees, execs screwing everyone. Lost utilities but did not have to evacuate fortunately, bit north of me in Sonoma though was crazy.

Crazy.. is PG&E owning up to miss handling the situation? Guess it doesn’t really matter at this point. Yall just want to get back normal.

A lot of North Bay folks had to evacuate, and somehow get told to evacuate while their power was out. I'm in the East Bay. Got lucky I don't live in a power outage area, but a good chunk of the East Bay has been on and off, as well as random other areas around the Bay. Everyone is, understandably, pissed off about it.

Appreciate the in depth details Alch, missed these last two games cause of the fires/blackout. Also good to hear unbiased perspective about our strengths and weakness, tired people not understanding why some of our games turnout as they do.

Speaking of Chelsea, I saw her treating Trae Young who just got an ankle injury. The similarity between Curry and Trae is amusing.

I dont know if it’s just me but I think the Dubs really miss Chelsea Lane and fucked up big time by letting her walk away.

You nailed it.. if Lee can drive and kick or dump off, that would justify him being out there more. Most of those short roll lobs would have been hard for Dray to finish with no help coming over.

I may get down on Lee and his limitations.. but I can’t recall ever really questioning his effort. 11 boards is impressive for a guy who can’t jump over a stack a paper.

Good point his game is very unique. But defense is defense, it’s not as subjective as offense.

very good insight... ultimately for Dlo to be Dlo I think he needs the ball in his hands a lot, It is gong to become a value problem I think.

The hustle was the biggest takeaway for me. Shots will fall or they won't, hustle is an effort thing and it's the only thing the players have complete control over.

Yesterday I was feeling concerned about D'Lo's fit in the Motion Offense, contrasting him with how Klay plays the SG position and how different the two were. Feeling like he's just not going to fit. But, thankfully, Kerr and staff are always thinking way ahead of us fans. They slid D'Lo down to the 3, playing the SF role in the Motion Offense. In Kerr's system, the SF just spaces the floor, drives and dunks, helps get the guards open, then gets open looks in exchange. However, when KD joined the team, we saw a modified motion offense where the SF occasionally handled the ball or was the initial option on set plays where the guards just spaced the floor. Last night it felt like we had D'Lo in the "KD role", and had Poole in the SG role (which is exactly where he needs to be) .
This makes me think that when Klay comes back, Klay can go back to doing Klay things on offense, being the SG, and D'Lo can do "KD things" on offense being the "SF". The defense won't be nearly as good, but the offense can work.

Damion proving he's a worthy addition of nepotism. In some ways, the offense will be easier for Steph once these role players start getting comfortable hitting open shots due to the spacing. I think what we're lacking are people who can threaten a drive and collapse the defense, we've only seen that a couple of times or a PnR drive.
Draymond played really well but part of the reason, like you said, is they kind of overhelped. They were fairly close to guarding him at the 3 point line too, so even more spacing than usual. But definitely he showed a lot more effort this game. DLo I suspect will show more effort once he gets better in shape.

Small ball was a good idea, we also kept the ball in the hands of Dray, Dlo, and Steph quite a bit but with all of that, Lee with a career night including 11 rebounds was essential. On D everyone played hard and we got the loose balls. Phoenix will be tough but at least there is a template now. Paschall, Chriss, and Spellman were all solid.

I'm glad Spellman played well, but I am of the opinion that any minutes Kerr gives Spellman over Paschall is a Fireable offense.

It's going to take a while for us fans to warm up to DLo imo.. We've never had a player of his skill set before. But damn, his passing and little finesse moves are too nice. Hope he tries more on D! Had his moments yesterday.

It was nice to see a win and an actual classic Warriors blowout. But it was weird, the game itself never FELT like a blowout. Its too bad Zion is injured. I wouldve enjoyed watching him more than the warriors at this point lol.
DLo had a better game offensively, but the amount of careless turnovers and overthinking on every play made this game still pretty ugly. Poole finally was hitting some shots so that was nice. Im not gonna overreact to Damian Lee scoring 23. As far as Im concerned, that'll be his career high for awhile and he wont come close to that again, but I hope he proves me wrong. I see the effort/hustle/scrappiness that Spellman provides. Im just not sure its worth his boneheadedness the other 80% of the time. But I will acknowledge that his scrappiness and hustle was a large part of the Warriors win. Draymond and Curry looked like they were actually having some fun out there which was a great sign.
All in all, this is what I expect against teams in the low-mid tier. With Zion, who knows how this game turns out. The Warriors are gonna play a scorching hot Suns team (pun intended) tomorrow. Usually we can kind of discount the Suns. But I think they are out to make a statement this year. Without Ayton it should be slightly a more even matchup, but we have no one to counter the scoring of Oubre and Booker. Lets hope Poole can live up to his lookalike in Oubre and drop 20+ haha.
Bottom line: This game doesnt make me any less concerned about all the other things we've talked about in the first two games. But it did make me feel slightly better about their mindset, seeing Curry/Dray have a little fun again. And DLo sort of getting in the mix as well. My thoughts towards DLo in the long run though remain the same. We need someone else.

he is playing sped up right now, nerves and getting use to the speed of the league. He appears to have a floater game and some good dexterity. He won't play above the rim, but I think he has the size and touch to learn to be effective. Take contact and use deception rather than athleticism.
