I think it might be tied in... usually volcanic quakes don't always follow a fault line... most are shallow so these quakes have some characteristics of hydrothermal zones. Long valley itself is not showing shallow quakes on my seismographs that are increasing in numbers. actual number of long valley quakes is somewhat low compared to last few years. The whole great basin is subsiding and all magma chambers are filling, Yellowstone and long valley especially. Time will tell. We will be making a long valley video soon. Todd has promised new music.
