For instance, someone walks into a "Melonbooks" in Japan to buy Semelparous #1 and gets that special illustration with the back scrub. They are limited editions destined mostly to physical books and usually do not ship internationally. If you live abroad, the best way to directly support a work you like Semelparous would be going to a site like Amazon Japan and ordering it even with a digital version like Kindle. Also, you can directly support the author when you join it`s Pixiv Fanbox for instance.
