Eventually (live guitar + drums)

After doing the ten year video I decided to resurrect this old tune with proper audio and video. Was my most popular song for years back then. Most of the early YouTube tunes are best left in the past I'd say. But a few like this one I'd like to revisit here and there.

Here's a lesson video I did for the song back when talking to a camera was significantly more awkward. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FUZt4C1JoQM

Song is attached and the video goes live Monday :)

Thanks! And yea, this studio used a regular speaker in reverse to get the real low frequencies of the kick drum.

Rob Scallon

Hello! congrats for this song!Did you use a woofer for recording the kick drums?

Ma Miner

absolutely Definitely more rusty on this track in particular though

Rob Scallon

Would you say that you've gotten better at guitar since you posted the first one in 2010?

William Day

Right on. It's a pleasure to watch you play... you can SEE the enjoyment in your face & body language. Your CD was sent out a couple days ago. Can't wait to get it.

Joe Brezel

Cool! yea this might be the first tune I used that in... or at least the first time I used it a TON haha

Rob Scallon

I'll often watch these videos on my phone after their done just to check how it sounds on that screen. As it is how most people watch them. And I absolutely love it! It is really a sense of pride to have them exist and use them in my videos.

Rob Scallon

Amazing song Rob! I love the tapping pattern, kinda like For That Second has and some others. It has really inspired me a lot and I feel like I use that very often when I'm trying to make my own compositions as well!

Marius Killingdalen

Hey, Rob... I just had to rewatch on my Mac. The Droid really does it an injustice when it comes to sound quality. Sounds beautiful. But, I have a question... How are you liking the Chapman??? Sounds great, & looks like you seriously enjoy playing it. I've toyed around with getting one myself...

Joe Brezel

haha bring on the eventually puns! And thanks!

Rob Scallon

Liked! Dumb droid won't let me like it right now for some reason. Maybe Eventually... D'oh!!! Very pretty, peaceful, tune. Good stuff, Rob.

Joe Brezel

Thanks!

Rob Scallon

Amazing as always....

Gregg Smith

Awesome! That video was crazy!

haha cool! I kinda treated the drums for this like it was just a step of two above just tapping my feet to the rhythm. I'm sure with a bit of practice you could get it in no time.

Rob Scallon

I love this. It's just the sort of thing I'm planning to do on my bass, when I get good enough. Would have to be to a commercial or programmed drum track though, as I can barely co-ordinate two hands, never mind two feet too LOL.

Ian Hall

Thanks! Those ending harp harmonics are the more tricky part of the song, but worth the extra effort.

Rob Scallon

Beautiful! Love the harmonics towards the end.

Daniel Rushik

Thank you! I was really happy with how this turned out. I have a few plans of continuing to teach other genres similar to how I did Slap Guitar 101.

Rob Scallon

This is awesome. Whether it be bringing back old songs, or brand new ones, you need to do more of this guitar/drums thing. It sounds awesome!

D. Preston Peek

10/10 pun

Rob Scallon

Ha I knew this would EVENTUALLY come back out ;D Love the vids dude
