Added 2020-05-04 18:05:28 +0000 UTCAs my renown as an artist grows, ever so slowly, it's tempting for an ego like mine to listen to the praise and believe my own hype. One of my major dysfunctions is that I believed myself a master at age 4, and every day since I have been learning how little I truly know. And obvious as it may seem, I guess the shocking and humbling revelation for me is that my proper place is to accept that I'm always just a student, standing on the shoulders of the masters from which I borrow.
