Artists and freelancers over the world are struggling because jobs, festivals, markets, and sales get cancelled. I thought I'd give a little shout out to artists and art resources I admire!
Led courses and taught classes on and of for many years, I've had the pleasure of seeing a lot of art kids blossom into full blown artists. One of those who's journey has been most exciting to watch is Trine Helen Sejrup. I remember first meeting her at an comics club I ran called Tegneloftet, and she was already a very talented and determined teenager.
Now she's had kind of insane success doing pins and selling them all over the world through her instagram. So much success that she's always pirated by Chinese factories. But her work that has touched me the most personally is her childrens book Detektiv Trine, which became a favorite with both my kids. Here's hoping it will get translated to other languages one day.
