I barely got the mini-landscapes finished today, to send to an open call for an exhibition. When I was done, I rechecked the open call and found out that the last date for sending files was... next friday, not today. So I'm actually early!
Earlier this year I bought a new scanner, an Epson V370, which is supposed to be really good with uneven surfaces, and therefor a lot better than my old HP. But Epson and Linux don't really combine all that well, and my usual scanning program didn't recognise it. So a few months later, and a shift from Ubuntu to Fedora Linux, I actually got the driver to work. So these are the first with my new scanner.
The scans came out better than with the old scanner, and the resolution is ridiculous and scanning speed much better, but scanning acrylics is still... not ideal. There's something about how the lighting process enhances the texture of the paper and paint that it is... off putting. So I'll see if I change my approach to this in the future.
Anyhow... 10$ patrons can get the hi-resolution files in the pre-release gallery. New password was sent out earlier in December. https://denungeherrholm.smugmug.com/Patreon/Pre-release
Also, today's Daily Ink Monster is a Skull Wasp.
