2024-12-10 19:25:22 +0000 UTCthat blue revolver re-review was one of your best in a year chock full of stellar reviews. and to respond to the first comment i for one think that a lot of the games outside of shmups that have been getting voted on are hardly mainstream. if anything they’re more like “that one game you’ve heard is a masterpiece but you’ve never played” the more time goes by. the more folks people talk about them the better imo, same with shmups. helps keep these wonderful games and arguably more importantly the ideas behind them alive and well for a new generation

I do personally have the ability to cover niche stuff when I feel the inclination to though :-) Double Action is super niche for example. Also I get the feeling the gentry if they group up can start to sway the vote towards niche stuff ha

Congratulation to the winners and congratulations to us all because when hitting up Kamiya’s gameography, or any other artist, it’s best to go in chronological order when possible. Hence to experience the ideas build on ideas. Okami before 101 anyone? Honestly I have not played A-View-To-A-Ful since GameCube so I am eager to hear The E.U.G. analysis because now I’ve started to wonder what game is full peak Kamiya. I know it’s not 101 because it has its pimples but full peak being a game of fulltiful perfection. When I think on it now can it just might be a kid named Jo? 🦘
