notebook update πβ¨
Added 2020-12-05 09:51:28 +0000 UTCgood morning, everyone! i hope that you're all as well as you can be at this time, and that your saturday will be kind to you π₯
a little notebook/planner update for this morning- after ordering my hobonichi techo planner from japan for 2021, i came across a spring-start original techo online that was shipping from within the uk, and ordered that too so that i could have a little test run for the remainder of this year! logically i probably should have just stuck out the 1 (one) month until january without a book, but i'd really like to commit to the hobonichi for the whole of 2021, and so having a practice book for a short while will be nice π
between my digital journal and the archive of my to-do list app i've been gradually filling out the earlier pages in the book, so hopefully it won't be tooo empty when i abandon it for 2021 πβ¨ the quality of the paper is beautiful- it's so so soft and i'm very pleased. the pages are wonderfully versatile and i think i'll have a lot of fun seeing how i can use them over the next 12 months! all in all feeling pretty good about my decisions, and i'm excited to share my progress with you! π

i've attached some photos of the moleskine that i had been testing, too. it's a lovely little noteook and fine enough (i filled this out from my digital spaces, too) but ultimately i felt i didn't have enough room to write and say everything that i wanted to say! i considered keeping very short notes in this book and longer accounts of my day/thoughts in my digital journal, but i felt funny about deliberately holding myself back in a place of expression, if that makes sense!
i incorporated the margin system that i had been using in my leuchtturm1917 notebooks, and while this worked well enough for the weekdays, it was a real issue at the weekends where saturday and sunday are combined in one space (very annoying). the week-to-view pages also meant that i wouldn't be able to stick anything unless i coincidentally had nothing to write the day before or day after, and while i don't have much at the moment because i've been inside, as soon as i (eventually) get back out again it would probably be an immediate problem.

but anyway, there we go! i've ordered some stationery and stickers for my hobonichi (from etsy) and will share some pictures of those once they all arrive for those interested (it was a bit of a haul!) πβοΈ and the dispatch notification from hobonichi in japan came yesterday, too, so i'll of course share a little unboxing when it gets here! π¦β¨
take care, friends β₯οΈ
