Brothers, being a carpenter myself I gotta let you know how fulfilling it is to take pride in your work and build something from the ground up. I go to school to learn new skills on my own time (paid by my employer) and I get paid to go to mandatory classes for a week every few months or so. Got all my welding certifications and its such a therapeutic and gratifying process. Go join a union and get your health benefits, retirement fund, and guaranteed raises. Can’t tell you how many people I know from high school, or those who went to college who are miserable, stuck in some odd job thinking its a career path.
