EVGA Z790 DARK PCB breakdown notes

Motherboard provided by EVGA

Vcore
RAA229131
18x RAA22010540 105A SPS
bulk input filter: 8x 16V 270uF Nichicon FP10K
bulk output filter: 26x 470uF SMD poly
150nH inductors
1.2V 500KHz
SPS and chokes
200A 15W
300A 23W
400A 32W
500A 44W
600A 61W

voltage regulation and LLC:
the voltage regulation is extremely good.
optimal LLC for 24/7 overclocking is either default or +25%.
changing the VRM switching frequency up or down from 500KHz make no difference so I recommend leaving it at 500KHz. I tested 300, 400, 500, 750, 800 and 1000KHz.

VCCIN AUX
MP2940 2phase
MP8690 25A SPS
1.8V 500KHz

no iGPU power

RAM:
14 layer 1 dimm slot per channel (1DPC)
QVL to 8000, hard to fully stabilize above 7600* but very easy to bench 8000+
* BIOS 1.11 massively improved stability at 7800+

POWER/RESET/CLRCMOS/SAFEBOOT buttons
BIOS update button
triple BIOS switch
slow mode switch
PCI-e on/off switches
POST/Monitoring LEDS
status LEDs
ProbeIt header

wifi 6E 2.5Gb intel + 10Gb Marvell
3x Gen4 M.2
CPU PCI-e Gen5x16/x0 or x8/x8 or x0/x16
PCH PCI-e Gen4x4
8x SATA, 2 have legacy OS support

Comments

hey guys sorry if my question is out-topic but after I watched the video on yt he said not even try 7600 with this motherboard or depending on the cpu, so with the 13900k he mention in many ocassions, what memory frequency is like the perfect one for this? also he said no 4 slots, only 2 max 64gb that's interesting. Saludos from Paraguay!

14 layer is awesome from a quality standpoint, but odd it does not translate into higher daily stability compared to Tachyon, APEX (bending issues) etc.

I take delivery of this board on friday and nothing would be better then a buildzoid review of it!!!!

Will a PCB analysis video be made on this board? What type of daily OC could you run on this with a custom loop and ram cooler/fan (does hynix a/m die require active cooling like ddr4 bdie?)
