Comments:
Dualrank on DDR5 still doesn't have any noteworthy performance benefits because it clocks worse than SR and the tertiary timings are actually worse for most of the DR and DD timings.

Any chance to get 4x16 on an asus 790 mobo? Thanks

Gabriel

I am running a 96gb 2 dimm dr kit thats rated 6400 cl32,39,39,102 @1.35v i am running it at 1.25 vddq and 1.38 vdd with 1.3 vdd2 and cpu vddq and its doing 6800mhz "karhu 7000 and 1usmus and anta tm5 25 cycles stable" also timings are cl32,39,39,28 and tighter tertiary then above the only timing i can't get great is trfc im at 600 and 400. This is on a Asrock taichi . I can get up to 7200 to boot but cannot get tm5 stable however i was running much higher voltages and have since pushed down all tehm alot so i may try again. I also am only running sa at .95. I have a theory that with dr on ddr5 since teh pmic is on each module that we need much lower vddq since the current is doubling unless their are t topology boards that i am unaware of . So it makes me think that much lower vddq is the answer to alot of peoples problems.

I think that the difference between 2x2x16GB and 1x4x16GB is the validation, since any of those settings are validated by the manufacturer. it doesn't apply here. but I think it still might help a bit. but since it says 4x16 engineering sample, it should be it... sent for further testing and feedback.

So then my board is limiting me then. Any thoughts on the latency issues I'm having?

it's 2 2x16 kits. The 13th gen memory controller is a lot better than 12th gen's

Is the ram a full 4x16 kit or 2 x16 kits? What's different on the Z790 to allow higher speed 4x dimm configs? As far as my experience with z690 it's trash compared to AM5 when it comes to running 4x configs. I had a 2021 Z690 Extreme and it was giving me hell got a 2022 and best I Could get with a 12900KS was 5800 Running .910 SA 1.35IVR 1.3 VDD/Q XMP 2 on 2103 (earlier bioses varied the volts I would need 1.35V on the dimms. I Tried your 4x16 settings for 6000 C32 on ASUS and if I bumped my volts up that high I would constantly error out in Memtest. Tested through 3-4 12900K/KS it's just a hard wall. I recently got the 13900k and one chip managed to hit 6000 on 2022 Z690 4x16 with .910SA 1.3V VDD/Q Auto IVR 1.3Mem XMP2 with refresh @ 65500. On AM5 I was able to get 6200 XMP 1.2SOC 2200 Fclck on a 7950x and just set the mem voltage to 1.3. IT was too easy on intel I have to constantly balance the voltages if one is a bit too much or lower it will just throw out memtest errors. If I could split this into paragraphs I would.. But there's something I'm not getting have you tested with e cores on if it effects latency? So far on the 6000 c36 with 65500 Refresh I'm around 65NS but I even followed your timings (From the 6000 C32 Video) etc and my latency doesn't get into the 50's so I don't know what's up. I have e cores enabled (I use them) I'm wondering if you can somehow check the signal integrity from a z690 to a z790 on 4x dimm config to see how clean it is. There is a massive difference from a 2021 z690 to even 2022 and now I'm curious what the z790 boards have done to improve DDR5 speeds.
