It looked completely fake from the get-go to me. Like your typical stage-hit. Also telling was the fact that Chris Rock had to narrate. "Wow Will Smith just slapped the shit outta me." When someone gets the shit slapped out of them for real, there's no need for that. Also you don't sound calm and bemused after someone has "slapped the shit" out of you. CRock was clearly chillin. Just more hollyweird shenanigans imo.
