The first time i heard of Travis Scott, he just kind of came out of nowhere. Then i heard of his AstroWorld concert and couldn't understand why he would call it that. I figured or assumed "Astro" was short for Astral projection or something dealing with the spiritual world. I'm curious to see what you have researched on this subject.

Also, his fanbase undoubtable skyrocketed when he dated Kylie Jenner. Definitely a political move. Honestly, they made interracial dating more "cool" and acceptable to my generation. A lot of Kylies fans were transferred over to Travis Scott, who is this Alternative Black guy.

As Mr. Immaculate & Mad Max stated - Travis Scott fan base is comprised of mainly whites and Mexicans. The only black people that listen to him are comprised of "Alternative" blacks kids. The ones that aren't from blue collar east coast cities or even the dirty South - He gets crossover appeal when he does drill inspired or trap inspired rap music with Future and Young Thug, who are way more popular in the black community.
