Yes. The modern-day white people today are indeed the descendants of the Edomites. Genesis chapter 25 outlines the birth of Esau as not only being the first-born son, but his physical appearance. He was described as being red and like a hairy garment. With his birth into the world, Esau and later on the Edomites would be considered the one race of people that would look completely different from everyone else. When you read Genesis chapter 36, it states that Esau, his Canaanite wives, cattle, etc. would move to Mount Seir and kick out the Horites that were already there. In addition, the chapter also lists the names of Esau's sons. We know that Esau had many children, but two of his sons Zepho and Amalek played a huge role in history when it came to rulership. This is especially true for Amalek.
