Meet Loki, the reason why I'm running a bit late this month

Just a quick update, I didn't forget about you, but I have been severely distracted by a certain little guy. Meet Loki, a young Western Jackdaw who basically crash landed in our garden with severe signs of heat stress. However, after my brother and I gave him a couple of juicy grapes and a bowl of water to bathe in, he quickly recovered into a curious little devil. He also more or less decided we are now part of his family and has been visiting every day to forage in the garden, play with sticks, take more baths, steal more grapes and try to run off with everything shiny. He's also very interested in interacting with us and just randomly lands on our arms or heads or jumps on our toes.
And ehm, well, being a biologist with a background in animal cognition, it's very hard not to observe him all day. Seeing his mind in action, exploring literally everything he encounters, has been incredible and I kind of lost track of time there. Sorry, haha! I am making good progress on the next model though, so I should be able to make everything in time :)
